Who is Care Task Doula?
My name is Maggie Wolfe (they/them/theirs) and I am Care Task Doula. I launched this business in 2024 as a response to professional burnout and a strong need to return to a value aligned vocation. I recognize an immense need for care, connection, and support in my communities and Care Task Doula is how I show up. Being of service and caretaking are embedded in my existence and both have influenced the kind of work I’ve gravitated towards. I’ve spent years tending to children as a nanny, handling museum artworks as a preparator, and managing a building of artist studios. Problem solving is second nature to me.
Born and raised in the Midwest, I moved to Baltimore in 2012 by way of the Pacific Northwest. I am a queer + neurodiverse artist and parent, identities that influence my work. I have two degrees in art and continue to practice art-making (IG: @artforhandling). My biggest life project is raising my child alongside a friend and her two children. Family and mental health are top priorities for me and my business.
A growing part of Care Task Doula is connecting with other small businesses and organizations with missions that center people first, resource sharing and redistribution. Baltimore City is a beautiful place to build, reinforce, and grow our connections to one another. I’m always looking to meet new people and expand the ways in which we show up, in community.
It’s okay to ask for help. One day at a time.
With Gratitude,
Maggie Wolfe | Care Task Doula
